RIP Chris Caggiano
CHRISTIAN R. “CHRIS CAGE” CAGGIANO
CHRISTIAN R. “CHRIS CAGE” CAGGIANO, 67, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born May 22, 1948, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., he was the only son of Christianne (Rouzeau) and the late Louis Caggiano. In high school, he worked as a local disc jockey in the Niagara Falls area. In 1970, Chris earned a BA from the University of Dayton. As years went on, he worked for WVUD (University of Dayton), WLW, WING, WINE, WKKI, WERK, WERT, and WBYR- the Bear, which he owned until 1990. Chris was also a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Redeemer Radio, Rotary Club of Fort Wayne, and board member with the Boy Scouts of America. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Amy (Giesige) Caggiano of Fort Wayne; daughters, Lauren (Chris Csicsko) Caggiano and Collette Caggiano, both of Fort Wayne; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2155 Randallia Drive, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with a Rosary service beginning at 5:15 p.m. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, Boy Scouts of America, or to his daughter’s educational fund c/o Collette Caggiano.
