DTN President’s Cup October 2022
June, 2022 Delta Tau Nu Brothers and guests, we hope everyone is having an enjoyable Summer and look forward to seeing those that can attend our Fifth Delta Tau Nu Hilton Head Presidents Cup golf outing October 11th thru October 14th this year. You, and your spouse or significant other, are welcome whether you or they plan to play golf or not. After a 2-year hiatus, there is significant interest in making this gathering one of the best ever! As you know Hilton Head Island is a very popular destination with its beautiful beaches, great golf courses, and outstanding dining options. This year’s event will be held in the middle of the week (Tuesday through Friday). If you have not visited come and check it out…weather in mid-October is very nice! Historical temperatures in mid-October are highs in the mid-70’s and lows in the mid 60’s.
Included in the remainder of this document is everything you need to know to register for this event, including payment details and deadlines. Specifics
Tuesday October 11th: Late lunch/early dinner on your own, welcome reception from 7 PM to 9:00 PM at the Tiki Hut at the Beach House Hotel (on the beach)! Cash bar
Wednesday October 12th: Golf mid-morning at one of the courses in Port Royal Plantation (a box lunch is included). Dinner on your own (but we will all get together for Happy Hour around 5 pm at Reilleys Grill and Bar at Greenwood Circle – cash bar)
Thursday October 12th: Golf mid-morning at Oyster Reef Golf Club in Hilton Head Plantation (a box lunch is included). Cocktails and group dinner in the evening at Long Cove Club (pay on your own for drinks and dinner)
Friday October 13th: depart.
Accommodations A block of rooms is being held at The Beach House Hotel (a Holiday Inn Resort), 1 South Forest Beach Drive, Hilton Head, SC 29928 for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night. ·
Deluxe King room $159/night plus taxes (currently 10%) and a destination marketing fee of $1.00, per guestroom, per night · Normal Resort Fee of $20/day will be waived upon checkout · One night’s deposit required at time of booking · Cancellation policy is 7 days prior to arrival · Quoted rates, based on availability, are available for 2 days before and 2 days after if you want to come earlier or stay longer · Reservations must be made by September 11th to guarantee these rates. Delta Tau Nu Golf Group Golf Tee times have been arranged for both Wednesday and Thursday morning: Wednesday, we will play a friendly game at one of the golf courses in Port Royal Plantation with tee times beginning mid-morningThursday, we will play for the 2022 DTN Presidents Cup at Oyster Reef Golf Club in Hilton Head Plantation with tee times beginning mid-morning. The cost for 2 days of golf, box lunches each day, prizes, and the Presidents Cup trophy, is $300 per person. If your spouse or significant other wants to play golf on Wednesday, the cost is $130 per person. As in past years, any excess money after expenses will be donated to the Delta Tau Nu Scholarship Fund.
Thursday night group dinner Thursday evening, we will have a group cocktail hour beginning at 5:30PM, followed by dinner, at Long Cove Club. Dress is country club casual (dress jeans are allowed, no hats, collared shirts for the men please, sport coat optional but not required). Cocktails and dinner will be a pay on your own event for individuals/couples. Golf awards and the 2022 Presidents Cup Trophy will be presented. Important next steps for each of you attending
There’s a response sheet response sheet below this message for those attending with corresponding daily cost for golfers, and if you are planning to attend the group dinner on Thursday night. Please indicate for each attendee (i.e., if your spouse or significant other is coming, please list them separately) what each is planning to do Provide current golf handicap for each golfer Add up the costs and send the completed response sheet and a check made out to Rich Miskewicz.
To keep us on track and allow us to finalize arrangements with the golf courses payment is due by July 31st.

We have all had a great time at this event in Hilton Head in the past! As mentioned earlier, weather in Hilton Head is generally nice this time of year (historically mid 70’s during the day, mid 60’s at night). Although we cannot guarantee the weather, we have all had a great time! In early September, we will provide an update to all confirmed attendees including a map of the island with our venues and addresses, restaurant suggestions, and “what to do” suggestions for non-golfers.
Please mind the deadlines we are under and act quickly if you are planning to come. We all look forward to seeing you in October!
