• RIP Bob Ireton

    IRETON, Robert E., August 16, 2014 Bob’s very long battle with Alzheimer’s came to an end. He passed away peacefully at St. Leonard’s nursing facility with family by his side. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Hilda and Carl, and brother Bill. He is survived by his wife, Lucy, and their children, Kim Aukerman (husband Craig) and grandson Nick; Rob Ireton (wife Melissa) and grandchildren Colette and Jack; Jessie Triplett (husband Sean). His surviving siblings are Mary Joy, Jim, Andy, Gary and Vicky. Bob was a native of Dayton, and graduated from Chaminade High School in 1960. He graduated from the University of Dayton in 1964 where he played football and earned a degree in Engineering. In 1968 he received his MBA from Xavier University. The family thanks the many good people at St. Leonard’s for meeting his needs over the years. A heartfelt thank you to Hospice of Dayton, for what they do for patients and their families. And a very special thank you to his Hospice personal assistant, Terri Thompson, who cared for him with love and dignity as if he were family for more than four years. Also thanks to his hospice nurse, Susan Boesch, who over-saw his medical needs and kept him as pain free as possible. Another special thank you to Bob’s brother, Jim and wife Mary who never forgot about him. A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 30, 2014 St. Leonard’s Chapel 8100 Clyo Rd. Centerville, OH. 45458. Family to receive friends one hour prior in the main chapel. Inurnment will be held privately at a later date. Donations may be made in Bob’s name to the Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements were completed by the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel.
